Themed parties are very popular among children. Girls especially love princess themed parties. Princess party supplies can be found in many places, or constructed from simple materials. Party supply stores are a great place to start and many have entire sections devoted to princess related items because of their huge popularity. Many young girls are infatuated with fairy tales, and becoming princesses themselves. The realm of fantasy that includes princesses also includes many other fantastic creatures such as elves, fairies, princes and giants so every one can be a different character whether boy or girl.

Costume shops are good place to find princess party supplies as well. A good costume can make a child easily get into character and have fun being whatever they are dressed as. A costume shop can custom tailor a princess dress, or even build one from scratch and often they have a few in different sizes. Some of these shops specialize in theatrical costumes that are rented out instead of purchased. This can be a good alternative if the costume is only needed for a short time.

Princess party supplies can also be made from home, using fabric, paper and other household items. A fun idea at a princess party is to have the guests make and decorate their own princess hats. A princess hat can be made of paper. They are stereotypically conical with a bit of colorful fabric coming out of the top. By rolling a piece of paper into a cone, trimming the bottom then adding some fabric to the top a simple princess hat can be made by children.
