Party Supplies, Wedding Balloons, and Birthday Balloons
Throwing
a great party means having the right decorations and supplies. Balloons
add a festive touch to any room. Items like streamers, banners, and
confetti can also instantly transform a room into a party.
Balloons were first made from rubber. After several decades
the use of latex replaced the regular rubber balloons. Latex is made
from rubber as well but is more pliable. The gas that traditionally
fills balloons and makes them float is helium, but originally hydrogen
was used. Helium is much safer for public use than hydrogen.
The foil metalized balloons commonly known as Mylar balloons
came from technology used by NASA. These balloons are also filled with
helium. Foil balloons actually hold the gas better and can float for
days, even weeks where latex balloons last only a day or two.
Both kinds of balloons can have custom pictures or words
screen printed on them to match the occasion or for fun. The foil variety
can have full color dynamic pictures, latex balloons are usually printed
with one or two colors with more simple designs. Latex balloons come
in a wide spectrum of colors so that they can easily match the theme
or décor of any party or gathering.
Parties are more fun if they have silly themes to follow.
Princess themed parties are a big hit among little girls. Their parties
usually involve plastic tiaras and magic wands. For little boys, Star
Wars is a big hit. Masks and plastic light sabers are commonly used
to set the intergalactic scene.
Kids and adults alike love luau themed parties. Grass
skirts, leis, and coconut tops are all on the supply list, along with
fun decorations like tiki torches and crazy, bright cups with silly
straws. Luaus are a fun way to honor a birthday but are also thrown
to celebrate summer.
Balloons and party supplies aren’t just for birthday
parties, sometimes balloons are needed for more formal gatherings such
as weddings. Balloon arches in reception halls make a dramatic statement.
Also balloon drops are great for weddings and New Year’s Eve parties.
Air filled balloons can be dropped from a net secured to the ceiling
when the couple leaves for their honeymoon or at the stroke of midnight,
creating a cascade of colors for the party goers to revel in.
Balloons can also be used to commemorate a significant
event with a balloon release ceremony. Often helium filled balloons
are released to celebrate the opening of a business or organization
and sometimes they are released in the memory of lost loved ones. Many
find the silence of the balloons floating away a quiet, respectful way
to honor the life of a friend.
Party supply stores are a convenient way for a party planner
to get all the items they need for an upcoming event in one stop. Plates,
cups, silverware and serving dishes can all be purchased to co-ordinate
with the theme colors of a party. The stores also carry a wide array
of decorations and party favors. Party supply stores save the host from
having to shop at multiple stores and can make planning easy and convenient.
Great parties are creatively decorated and provide the
guests with fun favors to take home. Party games will create lasting
memories of the event and spark conversations. Planning and creativity
is the key to throwing a party that the guests will be talking about
for years to come.
